Overview & Description:
The Compliance Assistant provides operational and administrative support and ensure effective implementation of Orange Liberia’s compliance framework. The role supports documentation management, reporting preparation, monitoring of action plans, and coordination of compliance activities.
The Compliance Assistant contributes to maintaining regulatory adherence, accurate record-keeping, and timely reporting while supporting awareness initiatives and internal control processes under the supervision of the Compliance Officer.
Responsibilities:
Compliance Documentation & Records Management:
- Maintain and update compliance registers, risk matrices, and monitoring tools.
- Ensure proper filing and archiving of compliance-related documents (physical and digital).
- Upload and manage documentation within designated compliance systems (e.g., AGIR tool).
- Track policy acknowledgments and required compliance documentation.
Reporting & Data Collection Support:
- Collect required compliance data from departments.
- Assist in preparing periodic compliance reports and dashboards.
- Monitor deadlines for compliance reporting and follow up with relevant
- Support preparation of reports for Group and regulatory submissions.
Monitoring & Action Plan Follow-Up:
- Track implementation status of compliance action plans.
- Maintain logs of incidents, alerts, and corrective measures.
- Follow up on pending compliance-related documentation or controls.
- Escalate delays or gaps to the Compliance Officer.
Compliance Awareness & Administrative Support:
- Assist in organizing compliance training and awareness sessions.
- Prepare training materials and attendance records.
- Support internal communication of compliance policies and updates.
- Provide basic guidance to staff on compliance documentation requirements

- Timeliness and accuracy of compliance documentation updates
- Compliance reporting deadlines met
- Action plan follow-up completion rate
- Document upload and archiving accuracy

Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Audit, Internal Control, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
- 1–3 years’ relevant experience in Compliance, Risk, Audit, or regulatory support roles.
- Document & Records Management
- Basic Risk & Compliance Knowledge
- Reporting & Data Consolidation
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Understanding of Internal Control Principles
