Through our SRHR advocacy and service, education, health, economic empowerment, and anti-violence initiatives, CHI is creating lasting change and paving the way for a future where gender equality is a reality.
In December 2025, CHI formed a five-year partnership with UNFPA to address the needs of vulnerable women and girls in Liberia. This project focuses on promoting social behavior change, improving community access to SRHR services, and strengthening response services for Gender-Based Violence (GBV) referral pathways.
Overview & Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Project Manager who possesses a robust health background and extensive experience working with safe homes as well as engaging boys and girls in school settings.
This pivotal role is crucial for spearheading social behavior change initiatives, enhancing community access to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SHR) services, and strengthening response services for Gender-Based Violence (GBV) across our target counties. The ideal candidate MUST have exceptional facilitation skills and a demonstrated commitment to driving transformative change in community health and well-being.
Responsibilities:
1. Facilitating Community Engagement:
- Organize and lead town hall meetings to promote social behavior change within communities.
- Advocate for a survivor-centered approach and facilitate discussions on the referral pathway for GBV reporting.
- Work to enhance community access to SRHR services across the eight Spotlight counties.
2. Training and Capacity Building:
- Provide comprehensive training to health workers and staff at Safehomes and One-Stop Centers (OSCs).
- Lead the development of training materials and conduct workshops for social workers and frontline staff.
- Support the establishment and capacity building of boys and girls clubs in schools.
- Foster peer-to-peer engagement to spearhead social behavioral change initiatives.
3. Advocacy and Collaboration:
- Possess strong advocacy skills to promote awareness on key issues related to GBV and SRHR.
- Collaborate with local stakeholders, community leaders, and partner organizations.
- Experienced in donor report writing using the "outcome harvest" approach.
4. Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Oversee project activities to ensure they align with strategic goals and objectives.
- Monitor progress and evaluate the impact of interventions along with the MEAL team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Social Work, or a related field with three years of progressive working experience.
- OR: Diploma in Nursing, Public Health, or a related field with at least 5 years of active experience.
- Proven experience in project management, particularly in health-related projects.
- Strong facilitation skills with experience in community engagement.
- Demonstrated understanding of GBV, SRHR, and social behavior change strategies.
- Experience working with safe homes is an added advantage.
